Pearl is the second and final solo studio album by Janis Joplin, released posthumously in January 1971. It was the final album with her direct participation, and the only Joplin album recorded with the Full Tilt Boogie Band, her final touring unit. It peaked at number one on the Billboard 200, holding that spot for nine weeks. It has been certified quadruple platinum by the RIAA.

Black Pearl was a West Coast rock group of the late '60s and early '70s led by Bernie ". They had two charting albums, Black Pearl (1969) and Black Pearl – Live! (1970). Back in the late '60s, there were several bands that amped up the smooth and sexy R&B sound of the day – giving it a shot of adrenaline and a bit more, well, cajones. Still, their lone studio album (their other release was a live recording) – a self-titled release from 1969 – provided a much needed alternative to all the mellow/laid-back music that was ruling the mainstream at the time, especially on such rage rock ditties as "Crazy Chicken" and "Mr. Soul Satisfaction. As you've probably guessed by now, if you're a fan of the MC5, it would certainly be worth it to hunt down a copy of Black Pearl. Greg Prato, All Music.

Nightscar
A huge dark trancer coming from one of the greatest producers the scene has today, Martin Buttrich, who has had his hand in Timo Maas's production, along with recording as Mad Dogs and Orinoko (and I won't get into how many remixes he's done). "Baracuda" starts things off with a high energy percussive drum patterns and quickly moves into dirty, machine slave engergy before unleashing a thick, stabb-y synth line. Flip for "Rouge Noire", a track thats all about that resonating synth line. The classic Martin vibe is on display here, slick tight drum patterns and great synth noises and effects tweaking out in the break down. These cut's will elevate the dance floor and spin it off into unknown orbit.
