The album that started it all. Original drummer John Rutsey performed all drum parts on the album. The recording sessions were produced by Dave Stock at Eastern Sound in Toronto, recorded late at night because the studio rates were the cheapest (they recorded the album on their own dime). The band was unhappy with the quality of the first sessions, so they moved to Toronto Sound Studios and produced the next sessions themselves to get a better sound. The first stab at the album was done in eight hours following a gig. We were warmed up after the show, and it came very easy

I just uploaded a picture of the original limited edition advance CD pressing from 1993! Not a CD-R! This CD is an original mastered RCA release! It comes with no inserts, just a sticker on the front of the jewel case!

WOW! I've been a big Donell Rush for decades and never knew RCA/ID actually pressed a CD - would you ever sell your CD? If so, email me thanks! Best, GM

I had the pleasure to meet Donell Rush, Steve Hurley, Chantay Savage, & the ID Records posse back in the day (early 90s), and used to own a cassette copy of Donell's sadly unreleased debut full-length album - to my knowledge it was never even pressed on CD (not even promo copies), and only a few tapes floated around before his untimely death in the 90s. I really wish that Steve Hurley could get the rights to the album reverted back to him so he could (finally) issue this amazing album on CD to share Donell's talent/voice will the world. I've heard all the tracks and they are prime Donell vocal cuts (esp "Ordinary Man!") with that now-vintage InDaSoul/SilkHurley sound/production. I'll cross my fingers for a CD release someday! RIP Donell. :(
